Roger Swancutt, age 73, of Charles City, died Saturday, December 1, 2007, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City. Memorial services for Roger Swancutt will be held at a later date.

Roger Dean Swancutt was born August 12, 1934, in Howard County, the son of Orville and Alta (Elliott) Swancutt. He received his education at Charles City. Roger worked as a truck drive and laborer.

Living family members include two sisters, Rosella Gauger of New Hampton and Fern Martin of Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara; four brothers, Ralph, Murl, Calvin and Delbert Swancutt; four sisters, Edith Swancutt, Beulah Stiefel, Anita Madole and Marcella Sheets; and many nieces and nephews.
