Janice G. Ward, 79, of Charles City, died Sunday, March 16, 2008, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

A private family memorial service for Janice Ward will be held at a later date.

Janice Glee Bonacker Ward was born July 7, 1928, at Titonka, Iowa, the daughter of George and Mona (Heffner) Bonacker. She graduated from Titonka High School and later from Simpson College. Her interests included reading her papers, animals, picnics, feeding the ducks, spending time at the family cabin on Long Lake, Minn., her dog, Margaret and cat, Sadie, giving “loves”, spending time with her family and the many shopping trips with her great grandchildren. Janice was loved deeply and will be dearly missed.

Living family members include her three daughters, Melanie Hargrave of Charles City, Tamara (Don) Arnoldussen of Mason City and Stephanie (Steven) Sinnwell of Haverhill; 10 grandchildren, Shannon (Ross) Koehler, Chris Arnoldussen and his fiancée, Morgan, Elizabeth (Randy) Kuker, Danny Knapp and his fiancée, Kelly, Brian Arnoldussen and Tony (Alicia) Hargrave; four step-grandchildren, Autumn Ackerley, Hannah Sinnwell, Kayleen Sinnwell and Laura (Jim) Forsythe; 11 great-grandchildren, Kole, Calgary, Alayna, Clayton, Dylan, William, Haylee, Sean, Jalen, Ra`Shaun and Dartanion; one sister, Dawn Burke of Ankeny; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Joyce; and a son-in-law, Gene Hargrave.
