Rebecca Vokes, 66, of Charles City, Floyd county, Iowa, died on Friday, December 21, 2007, at Cedar Health in Charles City.

Pastor Phil Corr will officiate. Burial will be held in Westside Cemetery at Marble Rock, Floyd county, Iowa.

Rebecca Lee Hirsch was born July 22, 1941, at Ottumwa, the daughter of Bill and Esther Hirsch. She was a caregiver for many senior citizens in the community.

In the 1960’s she was united in marriage to Bob Henkle. They later divorced.

On December 11, 1993, she was united in marriage to Darrell Vokes at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Rebecca was a past member of the Moose Lodge and the Senior Citizens Center. Her interests included bingo; cooking; watching Laurence Welk, Wheel of Fortune, ER and CSI Miami; and spending time with her family.

Living family members include her children, Jessica Sullivan of Charles City and Paul Henkle of Seattle Wash.; one brother, James Dean Hirsch of Dubuque; and a sister-in-law, Candy Hirsch of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband; and two children, Robert William Henkle and Mary Elizabeth Henkle.
