Carol Lembke, age 64, of Charles City, Floyd county, Iowa, died on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City, Cerro Gordo county, Iowa.

Carol Ann Roberts Lembke was born April 19, 1943, at Piqua, Ohio, the daughter of William and Catherine (Rasor) Roberts. In 1961 she graduated from Piqua High School and later in her life received her A.A.S. Degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from Riverland Community College in Austin, Minnesota.

On April 25, 1964, she was united in marriage to Paul Arthur Lembke at Piqua. They moved to Charles City in 1974. Paul died on February 3, 1993. Carol worked most as a florist and also as a caregiver.

She will always be remembered for her creative spirit that came up with a wide variety of ideas and for her love of pets including Scooter, Buddy and Tweety. Carol’s greatest joy, however, was creating memorable moments with her family.

Living family members include four children, James (Michelle) Lembke of Dubuque, Douglas (Melissa) Lembke of St. Joseph, Missouri, Suzanne (Jason) McDonald and Michael Lembke both of Charles City; 10 grandchildren, Megan, Carly, Ethan, Hannah, Ella, Brea, and Adriana Lembke, Melissa (Scott) Ausborn, Devan and Joshua McDonald; a brother, Ronald (Sandy) Roberts of North Fork, Florida, and a close sister-in-law, Audrey Harder of Rockwell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
