Dorothy Passmore, 83, of Charles City, died Tuesday, October 26, 2004, at the Salsbury Baptist Home in Charles City.

Funeral services for Dorothy Passmore will be held a 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Reverend Ruth Yeaton, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, rural Charles City.

Dorothy Jean Salsbury Passmore was born April 29, 1921 at Greene, the daughter of Fred and Pearl (Flynn) Salsbury. She attended school at Greene.

On September 5, 1942, she was united in marriage to Henry Passmore. Henry died in 1962. Dorothy worked for many years as a housekeeper for Fred Ziebarth. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Her hobbies included sewing, needlework and working crossword puzzles.

Living family members include three sisters, Shirley Grace (Wayne) Rogers of Mason City, Pearl Eleanor (Ralph) Parr of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Floy Ellen (Leroy) Hummel of Fremont, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; three brothers, Ralph , Ray and her twin Donald Salsbury; and six sisters, Myrtle Ackley, Ruth Bowman, Hazel Salsbury, Phyllis Miller, Carol Salsbury and Beth Salsbury.
