HAMPTON, IOWA - Johnnie Hall, 63, of Hampton, formerly of Charles City, died Thursday, February 21, 2008, at the Hampton Health Care Center in Hampton.
Funeral services for Johnnie Hall will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St. in Charles City, with Pastor David Werges of the Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home.
Johnnie Duane Hall was born on January 8, 1945, at Ellensburg, Washington, the son of Johnnie E. and Pauline (Lindaman) Hall. He received his education at Charles City.
At the age of 19, Johnnie began traveling with the carnival. During that time he was able to meet his "idol," Elvis Presley and attend one of his shows. Johnnie also took the training program at Oakdale. In 1970, he was united in marriage to Karen Edler. They later divorced. His interests included listening to music, singing, fishing and watching westerns.
Living family members include two children, Kathy (David) Rockhold, of Iowa Falls, and Johnnie R. (Shelia) Hall, of Iowa Falls; six grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas (Berneice) Hall, of Rockford, and Mike (Dorie) Espinosa, of Rockford; four sisters, Dorothy (Anthony) Theilen, of Wisconsin, Francis (Tom) McMann, of Missouri, Charlotte (Jerry) Calvert, of Nora Springs, and Toni Espinosa, of Mason City; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and a sister.
