Waylon Mayberry, 22, of Charles City, Floyd county, Iowa, died Thursday, April 24, 2008, at his residence.

Waylon Jack Mayberry was born January 5, 1986, at Waco, Tex., the son of Gary Mayberry and Cammie Putney. He graduated from the Charles City High School. Waylon worked for several years at the Labor Center. He enjoyed loud music, neighborhood barbeques and being with people.

Survivors include his father, Gary Mayberry of Elm Mott, TX; his mother and step father, Cammie (Chris) Ogden of Charles City; brothers, Gary (Kim) Mayberry, Shane (Tracie) Mayberry and Justin Mayberry all of Texas and his twin brother, Wayne Mayberry of Charles City; two nieces, Kayla and Faith Mayberry of Tex.; two nephews, Garrett and Kohen Mayberry of Tex.; grandparents, Christine Mayberry of Tex. and Jack Putney of Barnum, Minn.; step grandparents, Donald (Cheryl) Trapnell of Ocean Shores, Wash.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He will also be missed by his three dogs, Sammy, Kola and Roxie.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wayne Mayberry and Donna Putney.
