James H. Essman, 62, Trophy Club, Texas, died on November 19, 2004, at the Baylor Medical Center, Grapevine, Texas.

A Funeral Mass for James will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Carl Ries, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Charles City.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

James Henry Joseph Essman was born August 9, 1942, in Charles City, Iowa, the son of Henry W. and Loretta (Blocker) Essman. He was raised in Charles City and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School.

James worked as a manager for Flight Training Scheduling with American Airlines for over 35 years. He was an active golfer, loved movies, reading, history and traveling.

Living relatives include his wife, Bobby Leeth, of Trophy Club, Texas; and one sister, Barbara Vestal and husband Lynn of Waterloo He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Ilona Castle.
