Harold “Duane” Aringdale, 77, of Marshalltown, Iowa, died on Sunday, November 25, 2007, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.

Pastor David Werges of the Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City.

Harold Duane Aringdale was born April 27, 1930 at Canova, S.D. the son of Harold W. and Freda (Lee) Aringdale. He served in the Korean War from 1950 to 1954.

In 1955 he was united in marriage to Agnes Foxen. They later divorced. He was a resident of the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, since 1979. Harold was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Living family members include three children, Randy Aringdale of Charles City, Rita Aringdale of Prescott, Ariz., and Renee (Dave) Corbeille of Prescott, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Dylan Aringdale, Jessica Corbeille and Dayna Corbeille; two sisters, Julie (Paul) McGee of Cherokee and Jan (Dick) Schmillen of Cherokee; and one brother, Lavern (Sharon) Aringdale of Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his step-mother, Margaret Aringdale.
