LAKE FOREST, Calif. — Bernadette K. Doore, 88, died on September 4, 2008 in Lake Forest, California.

She was born on December 14, 1919 to L.B. Smith and Minnie Smith of Charles City. Doore graduated from Colwell High School on May 28, 1936 and married Allan J. Doore in 1939. They moved to Long Beach, California in 1947. She moved to Lake Forest in 1998.

Doore is survived by her son, Gary Doore of Washington, a daughter, Kathy Schoenberger of Lake Forest, three sisters, Betty Marth and Sharon Davidson of Charles City, Jan Pull of Colorado Springs, one brother, Bob Smith of Osage, 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

She received the Holy Sacraments from Santiago Catholic Church in Lake Forest.

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
