Miss Margery Smith

Graveside services for Miss Margery Smith will be Friday (Aug. 26) at 11 am at the Riverside Cemetery. Rev. Donald K. Sinclair, pastor of the First Congregational Church will officiate. The Hauser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Miss Smith died March 6 and had deeded her body to the Medical College of the University of Iowa. Following cremation her ashes were returned for interment. Miss Smith was a member of the First Congregational Church.

Margery Smith was born in Charles City on Dec. 3, 1903. She graduated from the Charles City High School and was employed for several years in the Floyd County Treasurer’s office. She also was employed in the Oliver Farm Equipment office when they were located in Chicago.

Her last employment prior to her retirement was with the Pacific-Gamble Robinson Company in Fargo, N.D. and Minneapolis. She has been a resident of Charles City since 1970.
