Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hauser funeral home for William G. Siegrest, 71, farmer living two miles southeast of Charles City, who died suddenly at his home Wednesday afternoon from a heart attack; burial in Riverside cemetery; had suffered from a heart ailment for some time.

Retired from active farming some time ago; resident of the community for 70 years; born to John and Maria Siegrest Nov. 5, 1872, at Peoria, Ill; came to Charles City with his parents when he was but one year old.

on March 1, 1889, he was married to Emily Harding at Charles City.

Leaves widow, eight sisters: Anna Siegrest, Mrs. Rose Schaper and Mrs. Lena Buehler, all of Whittier, Cal; Mrs. Pauline Chadwell, Aromas, Cal; Mrs. Kate Thurow, Callendar; Mrs. Emma Bergman, Mrs. Edith Klages and Mrs. Mary Timmons all of Charles City; sister, Mrs. Louise Immer, preceded him in death in 1935.
