Rockford, Iowa - Funeral services were here Monday for John W. Marker, Sr., 87, who died Saturday at his home in Rockford; born Oct. 17, 1862 in Ogle county, Illinois. Mr. Marker spent the greater part of his life on a farm near Rockford; for the last 29 years he had been a resident of Rockford.

His wife, who died in 1926, two sisters and a brother, preceded him in death.

Leaves three sons, John Marker, Jr, and Verle Marker, both of Rockford, and Clarence Marker, Rudd; a brother, Harry Marker, Seattle, Washington, and three sisters, Mrs. Augusta Taylor and Mrs. Ida Bates, both of Fruitland, Idaho, and Mrs. Esther Witsel, Charles City.
