Allen Funeral Held Monday At Rudd - Rudd, Sept. 30 - The funeral of Henry J. Allen, who passed away Sunday morning folliwng a paralytic stroke which he suffered on Friday, was held Monday afternoon at his late home, Rev. G. A Hess of Charles City officiating with burial at Rock Grove. Mr. Allen, who was in failing health, was 68 years of age and had been failing for the last two years.

He was born in Boone County, Illinois June 30, 1859. Since 1893 he has resided in or near Rudd coming here from Nebraska.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Henry Sander of this place and one sister, Mrs. H. Baskens of Janesville.
