Marble Rock - Charles Francis Jesmore was born at Beloit, Wis., April 28, 1855. He came with his parents to Iowa when but 10 years of age. At the age of 15 he came to Marble Rock, where he lived until his death at 3 o'clock Wednesday morning, Sept. 7, 1927.

He was united in marriage to Miss Nettie Utz July 15, 1880. Two children were born to this union. John Spencer, who resides here with his mother and Harry Clifford who died at the age of eight years. Others who mourn his departure, are his four sisters and his one brother, Mrs. James Ross of Kansas City; Mrs. Spencer Brown, of Clear Lake; Mrs. Eliza Chilson and Mrs. Christina Cummings of Mason City and John of Lodi, Wis.

Mr. Jesmore united with the Methodist church during the pastorate of the Rev. T. A. Trimble.
He was member of the Marble Rock I.O.O.F. lodge No 362 since 1900. He has suffered greatly from rheumatism and since the last winter has been confined in bed.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, from the home, in charge of his paster, Rev. A. R. Coover, with selections sung by Mrs. Lucy Moore, accompanied by Mrs. S. W. McNinch.

Members of his lodge acted as pall-bearers, who also had charge of the services at the interment in Hill Side cemetery here.
