The Clay Family Reunion of 2006 was held Saturday, August 19 at the Walter F. Bohl Community Center in Marble Rock, Iowa. Over one hundred family members from eight different states attended the celebration of Marble Rock pioneers John Christian Clay, spouse Louisa Rex Clay and descendants, including Marble Rock residents of long ago, William Jefferson Clay and Mary E Young Clay, and their five Clay sons, Lloyd, Earl, Louis, Lowell, and Gale Clay. Honored guests, William G Clay of Anderson, Indiana, along with Mary E Clay Saug, Kathryn L Clay Andon, and Charlotte I Clay Sinnott all of Mason City, Iowa lead the celebration. Regrettably unable to attend was Genevieve Ann Clay Mealhouse of Garrison, Iowa. Four generations of the Clay family renewed relationships, talked over old times, and will cherished this day for a long time to come.
