Doris Knoop & Walter Marsh married 1930

Scott Township

The marriage of Miss Doris Knoop and Mr. Walter Marsh, both of Marble Rock, was solemnized in the Bethel Baptist church at Marble Rock, Friday evening at eight o’clock, the Rev. Geo. C. Foster, pastor, reading the service. The bride was gowned in figured silk georgette, while the groom wore the conventional blue. Mrs. Fred Lockwood, sister of the groom, served as bridesmaid and wore a gown of black satin. Fred Lockwood was best man.

The bride, who is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Knoop, is a graduate of the Marble Rock high school and of the Iowa State Teachers college and for the past three years has been a successful teacher in the Floyd County school. The groom, who is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Marsh, is a graduate of the Greene high school and is now a successful farmer in Scott township.

The young couple left Friday night for Des Moines, where they spent the week end. they will be at home on the groom’s farm southwest of town after the first of March.
