My records show that the REv. James Black Burch was indeed born in Surrey Co., NC 10/17-1801, the son of George Burch and Martha Edwards. He was married to Sarah Waldron. I am descended through his son L.M. Burch, born july 31, 1830 and his
wife Floretta Miller. Their daughter,Kitty Lou Burch was my maternal grandmother. She was born October 8 1877. She married my grandfather, Michael Joseph Monnahan June 28, 1896. To this union were born five children:Bethonia,John,Lewis Burch(my father),MichaelPaul, and S.Bruce.
Kitty died in 1950
