In 1900 the Robert and Martha Brooks were living in Windsor township with their nine children .. Isaac, George, William, Joseph or John, Edward, Frank, Lloyd, Charley and Pearl. Martha and children born in Iowa and Robert stated Ohio.

In 1880 they were living in Elk township, Clayton County, Iowa. Robert (b. abt. 1857) and Martha (b. abt. 1862) had one child at that time, Isaac. They most likely married in Clayton county about 1878. Marriage record would give Martha's maiden name.
