Stampf, John N., farmer, Section 24 (Fairfield township); PO Brush Creek; owns 120 acres of land valued at $6,000; born in Germany, March 6, 1806; came to America August 16, 1840, and settled in Long Island; May 14, 1851, settled on his present farm. Married Barbara Barnhart June 9, 1851; she was born March 9, 1807. Both members of the Lutheran Church, he is a Democrat.
