My great grandfather (James Colburn Vail) was married to Theresa (also spelled Teresa, Teresa Marie) Crumb. She was born 1846 in Somerset, PA. I do not have a wedding date but they are listed in multiple MN and Federal censuses as husband and wife. On 9/21/1857 she was living in Township 105, MN, in 1870 Racine, MN, in 1880 Illyria, IA and on 5/1/1885 she was living with another family without her husband or children in Dexter, MN. I was always told my grandfather was an orphan but it sounds like he became an orphan.
I have the children of Theresa as Ada (1871-1966), Charles (1875-?), Joseph (1877-?), Marcia (1879-1954) and my grandfather George Adelbert Vail (1880-1945).
I would love to see or know anything you have as I have hit a dead end on this part of the family tree.
