In Response To: Orange and Julia Mann family (Sandy Stiemke)

The Illyria Community Church published the "Illyria-Highland Cemetery" in recent years. Margaret and Tom Foxwell did much of the recording and research. Book is available at Fayette County Historical Center.

In this book, it appears that a Mann owned a lot as the following entry is included ... "Mann, Unknown, no dates, row 17, Lot B, space s4 ... no stone but burial here".

In the "1878 History of Fayette County, Iowa", Lay Mann, is listed in Elgin and James Mann, farmer in Section 5 of Pleasant Valley Township. William Mann served in the Civil War (page 433).
