According to the 1920 and 1930 census, Paul was born in Illinois,1880, Anna Mary? in Kansas abt 1882. By 1930 they had 3 children. This is only a preliminary answer to your question because I have not looked for more info on Ancestry.com yet.
The 1930 census from Familysearch has this in Fayette, Fayette:
Paul S Reid M 51 1880 IL VA VA
Anna M Reid F 49 1882 KS
Lavone A Reid F 20 1909-1910 KS
Robert C Reid M 12 IA
Lorraine M Reid F 6

Pauls parents were born in Virginia. The Ancestry.com census for 1910 may reveal more of their Kansas residence at the time of Lavonne's birth.

Robert C may be the same as a Robert who lived in Minnesota for a time. The girl's married names so far have not shown up. The 1940 census may reveal more as could local sources from the Fayette Genealogy societies surname files. Nothing was found on the Fayette IA genweb site, the WPA burial index or statewide minnesota genealogy sites.
