I found Mike and Barbara in Auburn, Fayette County, on the 1880 census. Barbara was then 18, she was born Iowa, parents b. Germany.
The previous household is:
Keihner, John, 45, farmer, Ger Ger Ger
Elizabeth, 55, wife, Ger Ger Ger
Anna, 15, dau, IA Ger Ger

Going back to the 1870 census in the same location is the following family.

Keaur, John, 45, farmer, Prussia
Elizabeth, 46, keeping house, Prussia
Carl, 10, IA
Barbary, 9, IA
Anna, 6, IA
Margaret, 4, IA

1860 Jefferson, Clayton, Iowa
Knor, John, 25, Hesse Darmstadt
Elizabeth, 20, Hesse Darmstadt
Mary, 65, ""
Jacob, 22, " "
Moses, 10, " "
Mary, 17, " "

John and Elizabeth are buried in St Lucas Cemetery
