I'm not sure about the naming, but about 4 miles north of Fayette, on county C14, about 3.4 miles west of highway 150 is where the old Fayette County Farm, and probably the county hospital that you referenced was located.

My grandparents farmed a couple of miles south of this.

On a Google map of the location, Prairie View Management is one of the map labels.
