SEAMONSSEAMANSIMONDS

I am looking for information about Hiram Seamons who was born in Elmira, New York. His family moved to Iowa when he was about 8 years old. He died in Calcasieu Parish in Louisiana but was buried in Cedar County, Iowa. I have seen a Fayette County 1860 census which has a Hiram Simonds(12 yrs.) which could possibly be him but he was in the same residence with Albert Gillett and the name was spelled Simonds. The household also listed a Eugene Simonds. I know that Hiram had a brother named Eugene which has caused me to think that this is the right Hiram. Any help would be appreciated.
