The father of Eberhard Greteman was Johann Otto Honerlagen Grete (Greteman) born March 27 1817 in Bornholte, Germany. Otto's father was Andreas Honerlagen Grete born about 1789 and his mother was Anna Maria (Mary) Johnn-in-Lau born abt. 1795 Otto came to America in 1851 with his wife, Maria Catherina Magerkohl and his two children, one of whom was Eberhard. Twho other children had died previously in infancy in Germany. Otto's wife and youngest child died on the voyage of cholera.

Otto married Elizabeth Keman and had seven children, half siblings of Eberhard.

Eberhard (Ed) married his wife about 1870. I have seen her first name spelled Elesbeth and her last name also spelled Clusterer aand Klasner.
