Dr. JAMES GREGOR McNEIL - died 1949

Word was received last week of the death in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Thursday of Dr. James Gregor McNeil, 58, a physician and attorney whose home was in Chicago. Dr. McNeil was born in Postville and graduated with the class of 1909 here.

Dr. McNeil was graduated from the University of Iowa law school in 1914. After practicing law for two years, he began the study of medicine and was graduated from Loyola University medical school in 1921. He practiced in Chicago 29 years being on the staff of South Chicago Community hospital.

He is survived by his widow, a brother Edward, and three sisters, Mae and Rose of Postville, and Mrs. M. R. Hurley of Elkader. Services were held in Albuquerque Sunday.
