Found Dead in the Volga.
W. U. Argo:~Sunday afternoon about two o’clock the Oelberg boys were going from Lima to Albany. When about half way they noticed something in the Volga which attracted their attention. Upon closer examination it proved to be the body of a man, John James by name, who of late has been making his home at Uncle Tom Graham’s in Westfield. The body when found was lying face downward in midstream (the water there being quite shallow,) at a point where Burns creek emptied into the Volga, with the head up stream and partially covered with mud. From all appearances the man had been dead some days. He was subject to fits and it is supposed that he was siezed with one of those fits and afterward floated down to where the body was found. James was about fifty-two years of age and a single man.
