Oelwein’s Father Dead.
Last week's Oelwein papers record the death of Frederick Oelwein, father of the town of that name. He settled where the town site now is fifty years ago and the log cabin he originally occupied (the first one in that vicinity) stands in his door yard still.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Oakdale Cemetery and was born in 1808.
