Dropped Dead.
West Union Argo:—Aug. Domke, who lives in Westfield township, was over in Dover Friday last, where he was to hold a public sale the day following for a young man for whom he was guardian. Early in the evening he was at the residence of Hans Kleppe, where he had met with Mr. Kleppe and Isaac Johnson, who were the appraisers of the property. About 8:30 he said that he would go to the home of his sister, a few rods distant, where he would stay all night. Knute, son of Hans, started with him, and when they reached the bars the young man let them down for Mr. Domke to pass through. He had hardly cleared the opening until be threw up his arms and cried: “Catch me.” The young man caught him as he fell, spoke to him and getting no answer he called for help. His father and Isaac Johnson heard him and answered the call but when they reached the two Mr. Domke was dead.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in the West Union Cemetery and was born Nov. 3, 1845 and died March 21, 1901.
