Thomas Green, the venerable father of Thomas Green, postmaster at West Union, died on the 30th ult. in his 89th year, death resulted from a stroke of paralysis on the 21th ult. Mr. Green had lived in Fayette county since 1853. His wife, five sons and two daughters survive him.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in West Union Cemetery and that he was born May 18, 1815 and died January 31, 1904.
