Frank Beedy, 78, a resident of the Black Hawk county home since May 21, 1932, died there at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday as the result of a stroke suffered Jan. 24.

He resided for many years on a farm between Fairbank, Ia., and Dunkerton, Ia., and prior to that worked as a carpenter. Surviving are an adopted daughter, Mrs. Preston Beedy, Woodlake, Minn., who married Mr. Beedy's nephew; one sister, Mrs. Clara La Count, Blue Island, Ill., and two brothers, one of whom resides in Siren, Wis. Neither of the brothers' names are known here.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Block funeral home. Burial will be beside his wife, who died many years ago, in a Fairbank, Ia., cemetery.
