OBITUARY
FRED HAUEISEN

The funeral service of the late Fred Haueisen was held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home, conducted by Rev. C. Meyn, pastor of Windsor church. Interment was made in the West Union cemetery.

Fred Haueisen, son of F.A. and Elizabeth Haueisen, was born in West Union, Iowa, Jan. 30, 1883. He was educated in the West Union school, and for several years was clerk in the W.A. Magner dry goods store, after which he went to Eldorado, where he clerked in the H.W. Nuemann general store.

He came to West Union four years ago and opened the City Meat Market, which he has operated very successfully until a week before his death. He became ill with influenza which resulted in pneumonia causing his death Wednesday morning, Nov. 20 at 6:20 o'clock.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Haueisen of West Union, and three sisters, Mrs. J.A. Klingman of Wadena, Mrs. S.H. Candee of West Union, and Miss Elizabeth, who is a nurse in Chicago. The meat market will be operated for the present under the management of S.H. Candee. The sympathy of the community is extended to the family.
