OBITUARY

YOUNG WIFE MEETS SUDDEN DEATH

The community was greatly shocked Monday morning to learn of the death of Mrs James Chase, which occurred at the Chase home north of the fair grounds early Monday Morning. She had been in fairly good health and her passing was a surprise to the friends and Neighbors with whom she associated.

Georgia May Daniels was born in West Union, Iowa, April 5, 1880 (1889 and all her life was passed here. After graduation from the public Schools she taught a number of years in the rural schools and specialized in penmanship. She was also gifted in vocal and instrumental music and had she given her time to it as her friends desired her to she might have been an accomplished musician later in life. She however preferred a quiet home life and on April 24,1916 was united in marriage to James Chase, continuing to make her home near her parents and the people she cared most for. She is survived by her husband, two sons, James and Dale, also by her mother, Mrs James Daniels. Her father preceding her in death only two weeks ago. About midnight Sunday Mrs Chase complained of not feeling well and arising from her bed went out on the porch and died in a few minutes.

Funeral services were held at the Wesleyan Methodist Church yesterday afternoon. The local pastor Rev Cardiff preaching the sermon. Interment was made in the City cemetery. To the sorrowing family is extended the sincere sympathy of friends and neighbors.
