----
Death of Mrs. James Chase

Mrs. James Chase died very suddenly Sunday night from heart failure. Although she had been in poor health, her death was entirely unexpected, and coming as it did, just two weeks following the death of her father, James Daniels, was a great blow to her mother.

Georgia May Daniels was born April 5, 1889 in West Union, where all of her life has been spent. She died July 19, 1920, just after 12 o'clock Sunday evening, at the home of John Chase, Sr. She was married April 24, 1916 to James Chase, who survives her, with two little sons, James and Dale. Besides these she leaves her mother and many other relatives. She was a graduate of the West Union high school, and was very gifted in vocal and instrumental music, as her friends can attest. She was of a cheerful, sunny disposition and the news of her death came as a shock to all her friends. Early in life she united with the West Union Baptist church.

Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Wesleyan Methodist church by the pastor, Rev. C.P. Carkuff and interment was made in West Union cemetery.
