Funeral services were held on Saturday January 20, 2018 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in rural Ossian, Iowa for Donna Marie Seitz, age 79, of West Union, Iowa formerly of Clermont, Iowa. Interment was held at the First Lutheran Church Cemetery also in rural Ossian, Iowa. Casket bearers were her grandsons. Music was provided by Micha Boyum, Phil Solheim, Jeff and Diane Molokken. Rev. Marshall Nessa was the officiant.

Donna Marie passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Postville, Iowa. Donna was born to Andrew and Julia (Kleppe) Molokken on the family farm in Dover Township, Clermont, Iowa on September 21, 1938. She was baptized on October 30, 1938 by Rev. Mona and confirmed on June 29, 1952 by Rev. E. O. Ulring both at the First Lutheran Church, rural Ossian. Donna spent many years teaching Vacation Bible School and was also Sunday School Superintendent and led Luther League throughout her younger years. Her Church and her ancestors of Norwegian Heritage meant a lot to Donna with her children making it five generations attending the First Lutheran Church. Donna attended Dover #6 Country School, which her family still maintains as a historical school. She graduated from West Union High School in 1956. After graduation she went to Rath Packing in Waterloo, Iowa, working in the order writing office.

Donna was united in marriage with Dale R.Seitz on April 20, 1957 at the First Lutheran Church by Rev. Vallum. To this union were born three sons and one daughter. Donna and Dale resided in Jesup, Iowa for several years and then moved to the Elgin and Clermont area. Donna was an Avon and Tupperware Representative while the children were growing up. She worked at the Elgin Canning Company, Tony's, and Lilac Motel. In 1981 Donna and her niece Diane Seitz founded the Valley Flower Boutique in Clermont. After several years Donna purchased Diane's share and for fifteen years she had the job of her life. Flowers were always a big part of Donna's life both at work and at home. She enjoyed visiting with the people who stopped in at the shop. After retiring Donna helped out at the Sweet Repeat Valley Floral Shops. After selling her shop she founded Granny's Tours and enjoyed planning bus trips for the community. She belonged to the Farm Bureau Women's Club, Clermont Community Club, Garden Club, Business and Professional Women's Club, Fayette County Fair flower supervisor and the Red Hat Ladies of Elgin and Clermont. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, singing and playing her piano. She also loved basketball and was a huge Postville Pirate Fan. Donna loved anything to do with all of her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing all the wedding flowers for her grandson's wedding just last August. Donna's wishes came true when she had the opportunity to travel to Norway and Hawaii, traveled on Amtrak to San Francisco, Hollywood,and Los Angeles, and Niagara Falls.

Donna is survived by her children: Scott (Deb) Seitz, Jodi (Mike) Jacobson, Rod (Malia Fox) Seitz, and Dave (Amy) Seitz; 17 grandchildren: Courtney (Aaron) Brinks, Curtis (Kassandra) Seitz, Jessica Seitz, Chad (Sydney) McDonald, Cindi (Todd) Andersen, Melissa (Eric) Brannon, Isaac (Christa) Jacobson, Andrew Jacobson, Evan Jacobson, Owen Jacobson, Mandy (Jessie Riniker) Baker, Eric (Holly) Seitz, Amber Seitz, Ross (Alexandra) Seitz, Josie Seitz, Jackie Seitz, and Ciara Keck; 16 great-grandchildren: Annalise and Katelyn Brinks, Kynna, Colton, and Calvin McDonald, Jaxson Eden, Caden, Taylor, and Abby Andersen, Christian Brannon, Alee and Beau Woodman, Matt and Amber Baker, Emma Seitz and Rubi Seitz; brother, Edwin Molokken; sisters-in-law, Eileen Molokken, Lyla Molokken, Betty Seitz, Shirley Seitz, and Edith Seitz; and one brother-in-law, Larry Butikofer.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Seitz; parents, Andrew and Julia Molokken; parents-in-law, Rufus and Sybil Seitz; brothers Levi (Lydia) Molokken, Arthur Molokken and Melvin Molokken; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Anna Mae (Claude) Moose, Earl Seitz, Leonard Seitz, Louis Seitz, Marlys Seitz, Janice Seitz, Sara Lea Butikofer, Eleanor Molokken and Mabel Molokken; granddaughter Jessica McDonald, nephews Jack Seitz, Mike Moose, and Randy Molokken; niece Julie Fulsaas and her beloved dog, Chia.
