HAROLD KLEPPE SERVICES HELD SATURDAY

Funeral services for Harold Arnold Kleppe, 70, were held Saturday, Feb,16, 1990 at Zion Lutheran Church, West Union,IA with burial in the West Union Cemetery. Burnham-Wood funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Harold, Son of Alfred & Hilda (Torkelson) Kleppe was born July 6,1920 in Dover Township, Fayette Co,IA. He was baptized in August 1920 at First Lutheran Church, Ossian.

He was united in marriage Aug 26,1941 to Lorraine Lavon Reisner at the Zion Lutheran Church, West Union,IA. They had three children: Jerry, Judy, Jane.

He served in the US Army from 1942 to 1945 during WWII. He was stationed in Sicily, Surdinia and Africa as a member of the anti-aircraft artillery. He worked as a truck driver for Graham & Schenk Lumber and Big Gain Feeds Co.

He died Wednesday, Feb.13, 1990 at Maple Crest Manor in Fayette,IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Adrian.
He is survived by his wife Lorraine, son Jerry, Fayette, IA; two daughter Judy Smith, Phoenix, AZ, and Jane Parsley, Fayette, IA; 12 grandchildren & one great grandchild; a brother Leslie, Elgin; four sisters Helen Loftsgard, Margaret Larson & Vivian Mueller, all of West Union, IA and Evelyn Marovets, Monona, IA
