~ OBITUARIES ~

SERVICES HELD FOR WEST UNION WOMAN.

Funeral services for Georgia Meyer were held at Zion Lutheran Church, West Union, on Thursday, August 6, with Rev. Victor Baderschneider and Intern Harriet Danielson officiating. Burnham-Wood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements with burial in the West Union Cemetery.

Georgia Margaret Woodson Meyer, daughter of John and Rena Smock Woodson, was born August 3, 1920 on a farm near Hawkeye. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Eldorado. She attended rural schools in Fayette County.

On August 19. 1938, Georgia was united in marriage to Truman H Meyer. Five children were born to this union Georgia died suddenly on Sunday, Aug. 2, at Palmer Memorial Hospital, West Union, at the age of 66 years 11 months and 31 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Marvin, three brothers{ Howard, Timothy and Dave Woodson, and a sister, Dorothy Christenson.

She is survived by her husband, three daughters. Dawn Van Scayoc. Marlene (Mrs. Joe) Chihak, and Carol Meyer of West Union{ a son, Louis Meyer[ 14 grandchildren[ 10 greatgrandchildren, two brothers: Frank Woodson of Postville; John Woodson of Hawkeye; three sisters: Bernice Troupe of Hawkeye, Mildred Mabb of Clermont, Phyllis Homewood of Hawkeye, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
