Services Held For David Jacobia

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 18, at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville for David L. Jacobia who passed away October 16 at his home in Clermont following a lingering illness.

David Lawrence Jacobia, son of Homer and Isabelle Thyne Jacobia, was born August 5, 1913, near Gunder in Clayton County. He was baptized in infancy and received his education in the Postville schools.

He was united in marriage to Martha Wedo, November 25, 1933. To this union two children were born: a son Clarence of Coos Bay, Oregon and a daughter Shirley, (Mrs. Roger Staake) of St. Olaf.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother. Survivors include his wife and two children; three sisters (Grace) Mrs. Milburn Moose of Monona; (Helen) Mrs. Gene Watson of Waukon; (Ruth) Mrs. Luther Groth of Mabel, Minnesota, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Delbert Dawes officiated at the service. Burial was in God's Acres at Clermont.
