MRS. BERNICE ALLEN DIES IN WASHINGTON.

Mrs. Bernice Allen, 47, died at the University hospital in Iowa City at 7:15 this morning.

The body will lie in state at the Brant funeral home in Oelwein pending arrangements.

Mrs. Allen, who had been in poor health for several months, was hospitalized since Sept. 16.

Besides her husband, William Allen, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kendall, Hazleton; a brother, Earl Kendall, Waterloo and a sister, Mrs. Phyllis Miller, Chicago.

NOTE: Bernice is buried in the Fontana Cemetery, Hazelton, Buchanan Co., Iowa.
