Arlington, Ia. Services for Perry Lickiss, 90, pioneer resident of Fayette County were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Gleim Funeral Home with burial at Taylorville Cemetery. Rev. Robert A. William officiated. Lickiss died Monday.
He was born April 28, 1859 near Brush Creek, now Arlington, the son of John and Sarah (Hanccock) Lickiss. He married Martha Peterman Dec. 22, 1886. He continued to make his home in the Arlington area, retiring about 10 years ago.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Wilbur and Edwin, both of Arlington; two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Lois) Rippen, of Arlington, and Mrs. Herman (Edith) Garrels, of Graf; two sisters, Mrs. Lorenza Oakley, in Montana, and Mrs. Mary Graham, of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, six brothers, four sisters, a son and a daughter.
