Stanley Dean Boyer, age 79,of Janesville, Iowa, died Sunday January 10, 2016 at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday,January 13 at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Finchford Community Bible Church with inurnment in the Finchford Cemetery at a later date.

Stanley was born November 16, 1936 near Elgin, Iowa,the son of Herman Elmer and Julia (Barnhouse) Boyer. Stanley graduated from the Elgin High School and served in the U.S.Army. He married Barbara Yearous on Julyy 25, 1959 at the Illyria Community Church in rural Elgin, Iowa. He was a mail carrier for 34 years, retiring in 1992. Later he was a tree farmer for many years. He was a member of the Finchford Community Bible Church in Finchford.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Neil (Lori) Boyer of Cedar Falls, Iowa and two daughters, Lynn (James) Rohrer of Silver Springs, Maryland and Denise (Thelonious) Key of Des Moines, Iowa; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and a brother.
