Rosina Lasetta Meyer was born on September 12,1912 in Dover township, Fayette County, Iowa the daughter of Lewis and Mary (Koester) Meyer. She was confirmed in April 1925 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Eldorado, Iowa and graduated from the 8th on June 4, 1927 at the Winneshiek County Schools. Rosina was united in Marriage to Lawrence Oliver Guyer On October 29, 1942 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church at Eldorado. She and Lawrence farmed in the Clermont area for many years. They moved to West Union upon their retirement from farming. Rosina was then a nurses aide and medication aide at the Good Samaritan Home in West Union for 15 years. Rosina died at the age of 96 years on March 10, 2009 at Maple Crest Manor Fayette. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in West Union. Rosina is survived by 5 children: Daughter: Leona (Bill) Harris of Postville, Son: Gaylord (Kathy) Guyer of West Union, Son: James(Ellen) Guyer of West Union. Daughter, LaVonne Bemiss of West Union, Daughter, LaVanda (James) Meyer of West Union , son in law, LaVerne Jacobson, West Union, 18 Grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lawrence on January 8, 1988, daughter, Mary Jacobson On March 25, 1994, granddaughter, Elizabeth Meyer, May 24, 1992; 5 brothers Vernie Meyer, William Meyer, John Meyer, Truman Meyer, and Walt Meyer and 4 sisters: Esther Plaster, Anna Schroeder, Mathilda Knapp, and LaRhue "Susie" Helgerson.
