OBITUARY OF CARRIE JOHNSTON.

Mrs. Carrie E. Johnston, 83, Warden Plaza Apartments died Saturday morning September 11, 1976 at Trinity Regional Hospital, where she had been admitted a short time earlier.

Services were held September 13, in Bruce Memorial Chapel with Dr. J. A. Leatherman, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Elgin.

Surviving include her children, Robert W. Steele, Dubuque; LeRoy E. Steele, Fort Dodge; Mrs. J. F. Buck, Novi, Mich.; eight grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Hazel West, Dubuque; and brother Harold Barnhart, San Diego, Calif.

Carrie E. Barnhart was born in Iowa and married Harley E. Steele who died in 1945. In 1957, she married William F. Johnston who died in 1964.

Mrs. Johnston was a member of the First Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Priscilla Circle of the church. She was also a member of Bon Ami Rebekah Lodge, Fort Dodge.
