Fayette, Ia. - Mrs. Jacob Yearous, 90, died Monday at her home in Fayette, following a week's illness.

She was born in Highland township, Clayton county, Ia., as Rebecca Doughty, and spent her entire life in Clayton and Fayette counties. She married T. Jacob Yearous, June 11, 1879. He survives her, at the age of 91. To this union 12 children were born, nine of whom are still living.

Final services at the Illyria church were conducted by the Methodist pastor of Elgin. Her body was taken to the old home farm in Illyria for prayer service.

Surviving children are Mrs. Rebecca Bisbing, Cedar Falls, Ia., Mrs. Blanch McCauley, in California, James and Jerome, near Elkader, Ia., Mrs. Cornelia Gage and Mrs. Susan Kiple, West Union, Ia., Clifton, Waukon, Ia., and Jacob of north of Fayette.

Burial was in the Illyria cemetery.
