Mrs. Pixler Rites Held In West Union

Funeral service for Mrs. James Pixler, 57, who died in her home at Des Moines June 4, were conducted at 2:00 p.m. last Thursday in West Union with Rev. Sterling J. Baldwin officiating. Burial was in West Union cemetery.

Elizabeth Jensen, daughter of Gregory and Anna Jensen, was born January 22, 1893, on a farm near West Union. When a young woman she united in marriage with James Pixler and they farmed near Postville.

Mr. Pixler died in 1931, and she continued to live on the farm, renting the land. She moved into Postville and lived there several years before going to Des Moines in 1947.

Surviving are her son, Lester, Des Moines, three grandchildren; one brother, Herbert H. Jensen, Fayette; a half brother and a half sister, J. R. Jensen and Mrs. Kate Boale, West Union. Two brothers, George P. Jensen and J. C. Jensen preceded her in death.
