MICHAEL SHEEHAN DIES.
---
On Monday, February 17, at the home of his brother, Jas. H. Sheehan, at Clermont, occurred the death of Michael Sheehan. Funeral services were held Wednesday, at St. Peter's church, at Clermont, conducted by Rev. McCabe, and interment took place at the Clermont cemetery.

Michael Sheehan was the son of John and Bridget Sheehan, and was born at Martinsville, Ohio, Nov. 22, 1867. In 1868 he came, with his parents, to Fayette county, Iowa, and settled near Clermont, where he made his home until his death. He was never married and leaves several brothers and sisters to mourn his death.

Michael Sheehan, Mike, or more familiarly known as the "Little One" was a great favorite among all. He was a good business man, yet was jolly and cheerful to everyone whom he met. His large form and larger heart was known to everyone in this corner of Iowa. Very few were there who did not know him, and fewer yet who did not recognize his kindly face as that of a friend of all mankind. He was one of the best men who have ever lived in this vicinity, because he carried sunshine and happiness wherever he went.

May his ashes rest in peace and may his soul reach the brightest paradise -- for his life entitled them to both.
