Elgin Echo, Thursday, 10 December 1896.

In the death of Lyman Goodrich, which occurred Saturday afternoon, November 22, Clermont has lost another of its old and highly respected citizens. He was a native of Chittenden County, Vermont, where he was born October 8, 1812. July 5, 1854, he located at Clermont, and has been more or less interested there ever since. After an illness of 11 weeks, the sufferer entered into rest. The funeral services were held in the M. E. Church Monday afternoon, Rev. Salisbury officiating.
