Joseph Shipton, Sr., who resides northwest of this city, one of the oldest residents in this township, died at the home of his daughter in Postville, where he was visiting, Monday. The remains were brought to his late home Tuesday and interment made in Mt. Pleasant (cemetery) Wednesday. Mr. Shipton has a large number of friends who will be pained to learn of his demise.
